André Léon Marie Nicolas Rieu is a violinist of Netherlands. He was born on 1 October 1949 in Maastricht, Netherlands and is also a conductor. He is popularly known for creating The Johann Strauss Orchestra. Andrea Rieu began his career with Maastricht Salon Orchestra and has performed in many concerts across the world. Andre Rieu performs under the genre Waltz and has been honored with many awards such as Knight of the Order of the Netherlands Lion (2002), Honorary Medal of the Province of Limburg (2009) and Knight of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (2009).

I hope you get time to read this. I am a 70 year old male, happily married. five years ago my wife and I moved to France. I immediately became severely depressed. It was much harder than I thought to leave a family home, where we had brought up three children. I took to my bed for the next four years, not wanting to see anybody. My daughter gave me an iPad. I didn't touch it for three months, but then forced myself to use it, mainly to contact my grandchildren. After four years of silence, I discovered music. three months ago I discovered you and your orchestra. I have never seen anyone so committed to music. Your passion is so inspiring, and it is passed to to your orchestra, who obviously love their work. Every night I take my IPad to bed and listen to music with joy in my heart and a tear in my eye. I have now booked tickets to your London show on 7th March. I would ask, if you have not already made your program, that you include one of the following pieces. I notice from the Internet, you are generous with people like me. I have tents of waltzes composed, and I have hundreds o different song. I am ethnic Romanian, about the same age with Maestro Zamfir. I am told a new dvd/cd is being issued this Friday 7th December 2018 hopefully based on the very good film we saw on approx. 28 july 2018 at local cinema. Could you please verify as much information as possible so that I do NOT buy the wrong DVD/cd Thanks awr.
