What is American Kennel Club Contact?

The American Kennel Club, abbreviated as Akc is a self dependent authority which is recognized for breeding, showing and promotion of purebred dog pedigrees or More Than one breed of dog in the United States. Its Roots can be traced in National Greyhound Association (NGA). The premier organization to encouraging breeders, AKC was introduced in the year of 1884 on September, 17. It is an amalgamation of many clubs including Canadian clubs (3), American clubs (10) and breed clubs (13). The organization recognized over 177 breeds, segmented into Foundation Stock Service,one class and 7 groups such as Sporting and Non- Sporting Group, Hound Group, Working Group, Toy Group, Herding Group and Terrier Group. It sponsors many events like Westminster Kennel Club Dog ShowNational Dog Show, Eukanuba National Championship etc for purebred dogs. All the operational activities of the club are carried out under various departments such as AKC Archives, Dna Operations, Investigations and Inspections, Judges Education Department, Conference and TravelAKC Reunite, Veterinary Outreach and other. The organization, authorized under AKC includes AKC Canine Health Foundation, AKC Reunite, AKC Reunite Canine Support and Relief Fund, The AKC Humane Fund, Inc., AKC Museum of the Dog and many other. An average of over 1.2 million dogs and 555,000 litters are registered through AKC. It has been rewarded with series of awards such as ACE – AKC Humane Fund Awards for Canine Excellence, Breeder of the Year, Community Achievement Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and Outstanding Sportsmanship Award etc for its achievements.
