Amana originally known as Amana Corporation is an American company and a brand of consumer electronics products and home appliances. Amana came into existence in the year 1934 and created by George Foerstner as The Electrical Equipment Co. in Middle Amana, Iowa and was made to manufacture commercial walk-in coolers. Few years after Amana formation the brand was acquired by Amana Society and was renamed as Amana Refrigeration, Incorporation'. Presently it is under the ownership of Whirlpool Corporation. Amana company manufactured their first upright freezer for the home in the year 1947 and attached a refrigerator/freezer to it in the year 1949. Amana company started manufacturing air conditioners in the year 1954. Amana product range covers different products like heating products such as heaters, blowers, cooling products like air conditioners, refrigerators, fridges and other products like microwaves, dishwashers, washing machines etc. Amana company sell their products through number of dealers and company owned stores and opened many service centers in all regions for providing after sales services such as repair and spare services.
