Please forward to Allison Dear Allison, Thank you for chairing the event yesterday at the Cambridge Literary Festival. I really enjoyed your chat with Elizabeth Day and Christina Patterson. Sorry you couldn't make the George Eliot event this morning. I nearly came up to speak to you at the end, like a soppy teenage groupie, to ask you to sign my program. Reason - I am one of the three people in Cambridge who voted leave, and your articles in the Telegraph over the last few weeks have been the only text in the media to keep me going. Keep going Hashtag, me too Regards Dr Helena Browne Fellow, Tutor and Director of Studies )Biological Sciences) Christ's College Cambridge and seven Herbert St Cambridge.

Dear Allison Just to thank you for your wonderful article this Saturday the 14th. I felt just the same as you before the Exit poll. My eldest son son says that I am the biggest pessimist that he knows and maybe he's right, but the Exit poll )which I hardly dared to believe) gave me that warm fuzzy feeling that is rare to me at my age. Some of my grandchildren are in mourning ; hopefully soon they will understand and if Boris delivers, perhaps it will be soon. God bless you this Christmas. David.
