Alan Ross whose full name is Alan John Ross was a famous and reputed poet and writer based in Britain. Alan Ross was born on 6 May 1922 in Calcutta, India and spent seven years of life in India and then moved to Falmouth, England for education. He pursued his higher studies from St John's College, Oxford. Alan Ross has written a number of books like Blindfold games, Coastwise lights, Winter sea, After Pusan etc. He has also written a number of books related to Australian Cricket and other Sports, Green Fading Into Blue being one of those. Alan Ross died at the age of 78 on 14 February 2001.
