ACMA (Australian Communications and Media Authority) is an Australian Government agency. It was formed on 1 July 2005. ACMA is tasked with ensuring media and communications works for all Australians. The agency's corporate structure comprises of several divisions namely Communications Infrastructure, Digital Economy, Content, Consumer and Citizen, Corporate Services and Coordination and Legal Services. ACMA also collects revenue on behalf of the Australian Government through broadcasting, radiocommunications and telecommunications taxes, charges and licence fees.
